The scheduled felling of an Oak Tree

Dear Residents
For your information, please be advised that unfortunately the Oak Tree in Singleton Road Play Area will be felled on Thursday 6th June. This is due to dead wood present throughout the crown and no reactive growth from previous works, demonstrating the tree has very little energy and is declining.
The tree has a Tree Protection Order (TPO) and Planning Permission from Horsham District Council has been granted.
The play area will be closed for the day whilst the works are carried out, sorry for any inconvenience caused.
