Session outline

Saving lives using the ‘Chain of Survival’

This 90 minute session will cover:

  • How to recognise and respond to cardiac arrest
  • How to summon help
  • Delivering good CPR
  • Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

The session will be delivered by Southwater Community First Responders (CFR). CFRs are SECamb volunteers who respond to life-threatening medical emergencies ahead of the ambulance service attending.

The session is suitable for anyone over 9 – under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult – will include ‘hands-on’ practice, and will last approximately 90 minutes.
