Update from WSCC - Real Time Bus Information

Published: 19 January 2024

WSCC was awarded £3.3m by the Department of Transport as part of our Bus Service Improvement Plan to install approx. 400-415 new real time passenger information (RTPI) displays within a two year period.

Part 1 of the project involves the installation of 255 displays at bus stops across the county.  The displays are battery powered and have audio announcements for the blind and partially sighted via a separate push button.

The location of the displays being delivered as part 1 of the project have come from suggestions from the public, bus operators, parish /town councils and County Councillors.

The bus stop at the Shelley Arms pub will be the first in BBH to receive the new real time passenger information (RTPI), with a proposed date of 31st January.
