TREES

During 2012, the Parish Council instructed tree surgeons to carry out remedial work to trees on Parish Council land

This work largely involved dead wooding, cutting back low level branches and ivy etc. but unfortunately a few trees were taken down as a result of them being a Health & Safety risk

Big Lottery Grant

You may already be aware that Broadbridge Heath Parish Council has been awarded a £30,000 grant from the Big Lottery Fund.

Previous consultations identified that local children needed a youth shelter and better play facilities and The Village Centre has been identified as the most appropriate space for these facilities.

The Project is now well underway and is being managed by the Parish Clerk in conjunction Parish Council members and experts from Horsham District Council.  Plans are in place to consult with the young people in the village and meetings will take place from September to December, essentially to identify what it is that our young people want and to select the most appropriate equipment based on the feedback received.  Construction will hopefully take place Spring/Summer 2009.  If you would like to be involved in this exciting project or would like to make comment, please call The Clerk on 01403-785864.
